This is a simple appetizer found all over Central America. It could easily be made from leftovers.
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoons Salsa Lizano
- 1 1/2 cups cooked red beans
- 2 1/2 cups of cooked rice
- 2 tablespoons of bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of chopped onions
Saute the onion and pepper in the oil over medium high heat for about 2 minutes. Stir in the beans and the Salsa Lizano. Reduce heat to medium and let cook about 10 minutes.
Stir in the cooked rice and serve.
